The Casino In 2013, the opportunity also arose to refurbish the old Spa Casino building, which is currently in a position to host parties and other events, such as conferences, dinners, lunches, performances, exhibitions, weddings or baptisms. The gardens that surround the Casino are an excellent option for holding cocktail parties due to its natural environment. The Main Hall has capacity for up to 350 people, features a stage that can be used either for shows or for conferences or meetings. Together with the Main Hall, three support rooms with capacities for up to 80 people are also available. The catering service is provided by Vidago Palace Hotel and is tailored to the customer’s needs. Opened in 1910, the Spa Casino functioned as a venue for parties, dances and other gatherings. At the time of its construction, allowing "Games of Chance” in seaside resorts was being discussed in Parliament. It never came to pass due to Republican moral qualms and quarrelling. |
